It has been more than 21 years since we have been in our home town for Remembrance Day. To see the turn out of not only the citizens of the town, but the size of the parade itself was astounding. The number of WWII veterans is surely dwindling at an ever quickening rate, but I was truly amazed to see so many. It was a clear, bright, and unseasonably warm day, and my heart was filled with gratitude. Thank you does not seem to be enough to communicate the immenseness of what we feel for our veterans. It is a greatly humbling experience to stand amongst heroes.
