Now being Canadian we are use to geese and judging the weather and seasons changing by the migration of geese. In the spring they herald the warmer temps that are soon to be arriving, and in the fall they are the announcement that winter is on it’s way. But… In the country the geese come by the thousands actually, the tens of thousands. Quite like the ladybugs. Thank goodness they are not looking to enter our homes to overwinter! I am still trying to capture the magnitude of these numbers. Here is but a small glimpse of the start of their migration.
